Day 2

Today I looked after my friends baby for her. I really enjoyed it but it was funny how much i had forgotten. The huge pram bag that goes everywhere with you that contains everything in case of an emergency! And I found myself sat with her all the time because I was frightened to leave her unattended. It is a huge responsibility looking after children and it something I hope I have made a good job of with my own children.

I try to be a very open minded parent and the type of mum that will be always be there for my children no matter what. I would hate to think that they couldn’t tell me something that was bothering them or that they were in trouble and had no-one to turn to. My own parents did a fantastic job bringing me up and especially my mum. She did everything for my brother and I and I was very lucky that I had a fantastic relationship with her. Although I don’t think I would have asked her some of the things that my kids have asked me lol ;)

I miss my mum dearly and I often think how different my life would be now if things hadn’t turned out the way they did. I would probably still be working at the bank and fighting my way through town everyday with the hustle and bustle of everyone rushing to work, grabbing a coffee and a sandwich on route to the office. I can’t imagine ever wanting to do that again, and I would spend all my wages in the shops in York! Well, I do still spend them all, at Monks Cross though!!

I would like to thankĀ  bezz for encouraging me to blog on here, I am loving it.
